KENNEDY 2008 EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE

Closing Down Shop and Making New Plans
A big thank-you is in order to all good Southern Patriots who have stood by this campaign for the past ten months. We have taken the word about Southern Rights into a national venue for the first time since Appomattox. Although at this time it is apparent that we cannot find the support among our fellow Southerners to push beyond an Exploratory effort, we have sown seeds that will surely germinate in the future.
During the past ten months I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to fellow Southerners who understand the need of pushing our message of Southern Rights into the political arena. From the beginning of this effort our objective was to use the political arena as a platform to promote the ideas that were first announced sixteen years ago in The South Was Right. For too long there has been a total absence of a pro-South message in the political arena. We had hoped to inspire enough of our fellow Southern Rights friends to be able to fund a respectable campaign in the G.O.P. primaries in Dixie. When one hears the current candidates blaspheme and otherwise condemn the South, it is obvious that a strong pro-Southern Rights candidate should be on hand to give the other side of the story. At this time it is apparent that we will not be able to raise the funds to be a credit to the Cause of the South so we are hereby announcing our withdrawal from the effort to mount a pro-South G.O.P. campaign this election.
Now, don’t think that the hundreds of fellow Southerners who donated and pledged their financial support and the thousands of Southerners who pledged their active support are just going to go away. There is much that needs to be done during this election season. Every major Republican candidate with the notable exception of one man has embraced the liberal anti-South concept of our Southland. These men must be exposed, challenged, and utterly shamed for the scalawag or carpetbagger that they have demonstrated themselves to be. Southerners, especially those of us who call ourselves Southern Nationalists, must not allow these men to trash our history and heritage. Likewise, we must not allow these men to assist in the complete destruction of our free society. With this in mind, I encourage everyone to please take the time to view our last video produced by the Kennedy Exploratory Committee, The System is Broken. We must work for the day when the message of this video is fully embraced by our people and our candidates. At that time we will surely be close to the day when yes indeed, “The South shall rise again.” Until that day, let us continue our struggle for Southern Rights and Southern Liberty.
